On a weekend night, Brooklyn jazz cafe could serve mud pies and still people would come in droves, drawn by the music and great people-watching. That the kitchen gives it the old college try is lagniappe. It even gets a bit ambitious with appetizers and desserts, though the main fare is sandwiches. Overall, it gets good marks.
Service shines. One Saturday, we never got more than 6 feet inside the front door, yet we felt as catered to as any of the diners packed around the two dozen small tables.
